I describe in it a meeting between Eivor and the Norns, ancient goddesses of time.
Below is Urd, the goddess who represents the past, always looking over her shoulder, very old, barely seeing.
Above, Skuld, the virgin, representing the future, always looking ahead, prophetic. In his lap [get out] he carries the greatest secrets of the future. Your face is always covered up, because the future is always covered up.
And right afterwards, with arms outstretched, comes Verdandi, representing the present, always open and asking as a 'mother'.
They were born at the source of Urd and live below the great ash tree Yggdrasill, which they guard, in Valhalla.
Eivor finds the Norns in search of the scroll that contains the great secrets of the world, and Skuld (future) can see the Viking's intentions in Eivor's life line, which is in the hands of the 3 elders. Skuld's face displays despair. Urd (past) also looks over his shoulder, as he doesn't like Eivor's presence there. While Verdandi (present), as one asks for 'good mother', tries to keep in touch with Eivor, extending her hand as a sign of good faith and attention to Eivor.
